Make Life Easy With a Foot Pedal!

When you're trying to grind meat quickly, trying to be safe, and trying to work the meat through your grinder with the meat stomper, it can be difficult to stay focused on your grinding.  This is why I highly recommend purchasing a grinder foot switch along with your electric grinder.

A grinder foot switch is really easy to set-up and use.  All you have to do is plug the pedal into the grinder, as well as an outlet and you are good to go!  This will give you the freedom with your hands to focus on getting the meat to the auger safely.

If you don't own a foot switch, go get one today!

Eat More Meat!

I wanted to share a total B.S. article posted about how red meat consumption leads to higher mortality rates.  Read the link below....

http://www.globalmeatnews.com/Industry-Markets/Study-linking-red-meat-to-high-mortality-under-fire

Now, time for my opinion.  This was obviously a case study done by some vegan who was against eating meat in the first place.  the data collected was sketchy at best, and in my opinion does not show enough of a correlation between eating meat and "premature death" as he puts it.

As a psychology major, I learned very quickly that you can BS your way through any case study if you work with enough test subjects.  It's our job as consumers to be educated enough to weed out these irrelevant studies when they are found.  Eating meat is healthy if, like anything else, is done in moderation.

There's my rant for the day.  feel free to comment below.

What is "Big Bite Technology?"

If you have visited grindrxl.com, you have probably noticed that some of our meat grinders feature "Big Bite Technology"?  What's the big deal?  How would a new "technology" help with your grinding?  Well, quite a bit actually.

Each meat grinder has a part called an Auger, which pulls the meat through the grinder.  This is the part of the machine can can get jammed or clog the easiest.  When you want to grind quickly and efficiently, it can be a real pain to have to stop grinding and clean out the jam in your meat grinder.

Well, Big Bite Technology can help with this.  The special auger is designed with more of a gap between the first part of the auger.  This allows the meat to go through much quicker without jamming.  This helps process more lbs per minute, which can save you time and money!

So now you know!  Check out some of our the meat grinders with Big Bite Technology today!

Electric Meat Grinder vs. Manual Meat Grinder

Many people struggle with the decision of buying an electric meat grinder, or a manual meat grinder.  There are a specific set of questions you should ask yourself to find the answer.  Both work well, and are effective.  Consider the following when trying to decide what grinder to purchase.

Cost - If money isn't really an issue, go with an electric grinder.  You can typically purchase a solid unit for $100 to $500 dollars.  If it is an issue, a manual grinder may be the solution.  You can purchase a manual grinder for as low as $48 dollars

Time - A manual meat grinder will take longer to process meat than an electric grinder.  Most electric grinders are rated based on how many lbs. a minute they can process.  However, you can definitely give your arms a workout with a manual grinder :).

Amount - If you are the casual grinder, a manual meat grinder may be all you need.  Most cooks, pet owners (who make their own pet food) can use a manual grinder just fine.  But if you are a hunter, and want to process your own game, an electric grinder is definitely in order.

Hopefully these 3 factors have helped you reach a decision.  To make your purchase, check out our store here.
